Grand Sport Vitesse La Finale is Farewell Model for Bugatti Veyron

5 March 2015

By Scott Campbell

Following a 10-year run, the final and 450th production unit of the Bugatti Veyron makes its appearance at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

The hypercar that broke all records from top speed to price tag bids farewell with the Grand Sport Vitesse ‘La Finale,’ taking design cues from the very first Veyron — the chassis #01 — both of which were unveiled side by side on Tuesday.

Whilst the very first Veyron was finished in black and red, La Finale is touched up with  red- and black-tinted carbon fibrr, a technique the car manufacturer pioneered over the past decade.

Further differences include the 450th Veyron as a convertible rather than its original hard top, and its W16 engine with around 1,200hp, which takes it from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.6 seconds, is more powerful as well.

With a record top speed of 408.84 km/h for the convertible version with the top down, the model is still the world’s fastest production roadster.

The words "La Finale" appears under the right headlamp and they are also imprinted on the underside of the car’s airbrake spoiler, as well as on the upholstery of the driver's seat.

Bugatti is currently working on a replacement model set to debut next year.
