Coinciding with International Museum Day, European Night of Museums is organized by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, and this year almost 3,000 museums around Europe are participating by operating late hours but also by hosting special events and more.

In Paris, most of the 150 museums and cultural centers waived their entrance fee, whilst in the U.K,, an additional Museums at Night event will be held where the institutions were open later from 16 to 18 May.
