Damien Hirst to Design Scarf Collection for Alexander McQueen's 10th Anniversary
By SENATUS News | 14 August 2013

Artist Damien Hirst will be collaborating with Alexander McQueen, currently helmed by Sarah Burton, to create 30 limited edition designs for the British label's scarf collection in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Each print is inspired by Hirst's Entomology paintings - butterflies, bugs, spiders and other insects form kaleidoscopic geometric shapes, laid out to create the McQueen iconic skull motif.

The collaboration plays on the fashion label and Hirst's aesthetic parallels - their mutual love of symmetrical design and a penchant for the dark side of nature. Available in chiffon, pongé, twill and cashmere, the collection launches in stores and online from mid-November. Prices starts at £135.
