On occasion of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, Russian tennis champion Maria Sharapova joined Porsche for the unveiling of a special edition Panamera GTS in her honor. The Porsche Panamera GTS “by Maria Sharapova” bears a few personal touches chosen by the tennis champion, a Porsche brand ambassador since 2013. Sharapova chose the car’s gleaming white paint, accented by the black outline of its LED headlights, its tailpipes and its 20-inch wheels.
Inside the cabin, the car features a new leather upholstery design with cream stitching. The armrests are personalized with the “Panamera GTS” logo, while Maria Sharapova’s name is featured on the door sills.
The Porsche Panamera GTS has a 4.8L V8 with 440hp, allowing for 0 to 100km/h acceleration in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 288km/h.
