The stars have gathered in central London to celebrate the best of British theatre at the London Evening Standard Awards. The event, co-hosted by Evening Standard owner Evgeny Lebedev, editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour, and Burberry chief creative and chief executive officer Christopher Bailey, got underway this evening at the London Paladium.
Presented by comedian’s Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, the awards saw a host of stage and screen stars walk the red carpet, including David and Victoria Beckham, Gillian Anderson and Sir Ian McKellen.Supermodel Naomi Campbell turned heads on the red carpet in a revealing gold gown, but the biggest upset came when recently engaged actor Benedict Cumberbatch arrived.
