Actress Freida Pinto who achieved fame in her starring role in "Slumdog Millionaire" has been unveiled as the newest ambassador for Audemars Piguet. The actress was selected for her charity work in Plan Internationals "Because I am a Girl" campaign to support young women in developing countries. She joins golfers Henrik Stenson, Victor Dubuisson, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Ian Poulter, Louis Oosthuizen, Lee Westwood, Sir Nick Faldo and Serena Williams.
"I want to have brand associations that I really feel passionate about. It does not feel forced," she said. "I just felt that this would be actually a very beneficial association not just for me, but for all the women and girls that I support back in India as well."
In the same week, Audemars Piguet hosted a party at the Carreau du Temple in Paris to launch its new Millenary watch collection for women.
