Paddington Station
By Alexandrina Kentska | 17 October 2017

Yesterday the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry met with children from various charities they support, on board Belmond British Pullman train at Paddington Station.

They met 130 children from around a dozen of the 30 organisations supported by Their Royal Highnesses' Charities Forum, many of whom are going through difficult times. They spent nearly an hour talking to the children on the Belmond British Pullman steam train, the sister train to the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. The children then waved goodbye as they set off on a journey into the English countryside.

The trio met with cast members from the new Paddington 2 movie, including Paddington Bear himself who gave Kate a little twirl.

Hugh Bonneville, who plays Henry Brown in the movie, praised the three royals for their support of children's charities.

He said: "Wherever they go awareness is brought to the causes they do wonderfully support. It's just fantastic when they can bring a bit of a spotlight to shine on these fantastic causes. Paddington is equally happy to smear them in marmalade!"

When two little girls asked the Duchess, "What's the best thing about being a princess?" Kate replied, "Meeting special people like you."

This is Kate's second appearance in public since her third pregnancy announcement. "She's feeling much better," William said. An aide also said: "The Duchess is feeling much better but she has still not fully recovered."

For today's unexpected visit to Paddington Station, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a new blush dress by Orla Kiely.

The Raised Flower Fitted Dress was £139 but is sold out. It is described: "The dress has a fitted bodice and slim sleeve and pencil shape skirt. Dress falls just below the knee. The boat shape neckline is slightly lower at the back. The dress comes with a detachable contrast fabric bow belt."

Tod's Suede Pumps were £335 but have sold out. They are described, "Tod's suede pumps are chicness and practicality combined. Masterly crafted by skilled artisans in Italy, this timeless pair sit atop a sturdy block heel and arch to a streamlined pointed toe. The label's signature pebbled sole provides traction for those on-the-go days."

Kate also carried her trusty Mulberry Bayswater clutch and wore her Cartier Ballon Bleu watch. She completed the look with her green amethyst earrings from Kiki McDonough.

I adore this new dress and love the colour on Kate. What do you think?
