Wishing a huge congratulations to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their engagement! 🥂

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, got engaged earlier this month and their wedding will take place in Spring next year.

Meghan's engagement ring was designed by Harry — one stone from Botswana and two diamonds from Diana’s personal collection.

Meghan and her dogs moved to London a short while ago, and they have been living with Harry in Nottingham House at Kensington Palace. She recently left her role acting in the tv show Suits.

The couple have been dating since last year, but have only been seen together publicly at the Invictus Games in Canada in September.

Some facts to get to know Meghan:

• Meghan was born in LA. Her mother is African-American and her father is Dutch-Irish.

• Meghan is actually her stage name. Her real name is Rachel Meghan Markle.

• She graduated from Northwestern University in 2003 with a degree in communications.

• Meghan started off as a calligrapher for weddings and events as she was auditioning for acting roles.

• Before getting her big break starring in Suits in 2011, she worked in a number of tv shows including as a suitcase model in Deal or No Deal.

• She married producer Trevor Engleson in 2011 and separated in 2013.

• Harry and Meghan met in July 2016 when they were introduced by a mutual friend.

• Meghan has a passion for humanitarian work. She became the Global Ambassador for World Vision Canada last year, and has worked for United Nations Women as part of the He For She gender equality movement.

• The Tig was the name of a lifestyle blog she used to run.

• She loves animals and advocates Adopt, Don't Shop.

When the couple marry next year, Harry will most likely be given a dukedom like his brother William, meaning that Meghan will become a duchess like Kate. She will automatically be given the title Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales, just as Kate is HRH Princess William of Wales, as ladies marrying into the royal family take on the female version of their husbands' titles. They will most likely carry out a few joint engagements, like William and Kate did, before their wedding.

Meghan completed her chic look with a towering pair of cream £369 Aquazzura Heels. Finally she wore the £850 ‘Les Plaisirs de Birks’ 18k gold earrings featuring white opals by Birks.
