Saint Laurent Fall-Winter 2018/19 at Paris Fashion Week
By SENATUS Magazine | 3 March 2018

For Fall-Winter 2018/19, the Saint Laurent woman is fiendishly sexy, with leather hotpants and skinny-cut pants, worn under sheer tops and blouses, embellished here and there with frills for a more bohemian vibe. Designed by Anthony Vaccarello – Saint Laurent creative director since 2016 - iconic heritage pieces from the brand were revisited in his signature style with a sexy, rock ‘n’ roll slant, synonymous with the new Saint Laurent woman.

Sparkles shimmered on dresses, pants and some long jackets. As for fabrics, leather was clearly the star of the show – the Vaccarello touch at work again. Fur and velvet were also present, also in a rock ‘n’ roll, sexy and very feminine style.

There was also a series of very 1980s-inspired dresses, with asymmetric cuts and standout shoulders. Big hats, as well as headscarves and turbans so dear to the label’s founder, Yves Saint Laurent, also featured on the runway show.

Boots also stood out in the collection, with platform heels lengthening collection silhouettes even more.
