Pegasus Primary School
By Alexandrina Kentska | 7 March 2018

Today, The Duchess continued her work with child emotional wellbeing with a visit to Pegasus Primary School to see first-hand the work that Family Links is doing through the school to empower the pupils.

Family Links is a national charity dedicated to empowering children, parents, families, schools and workplaces to be emotionally healthy.

They deliver innovative, high quality training in the Nurturing Programme to health and social care services, third sector organisations, schools and universities.

The Duchess had the chance to see how the charity works closely with schools to support both children and parents with their emotional health and wellbeing, with an emphasis on early intervention.

At Pegasus Primary School, Family Links has completely integrated emotional health support into children’s education, with the entire family supported through a range of workshops and activity sessions.

All members of staff, from kitchen staff to the Headteacher, are trained in the Family Links approach.

The Duchess met with parents to hear more about how their families have overcome challenges with the support of Family Links.

She also observed a ‘Circle Time’, an activity session which encourages pupils to share their thoughts on a range of topics, including how to support a classmate if they are being bullied, or how to cope with a stressful situation at home or at school.

Kate also attended a roundtable discussion with members from the charity on the importance of supporting families during a child’s early years.

In the last twenty years, Family Links has helped over 164,000 families achieve profound change — that’s 321,000 children reached by the Nurturing Programme.

The Duchess was back in another beautiful coat from her pregnancy with Charlotte for today's visit to Pegasus Primary School.

Her cream coat is JoJo Maman Bébé's Maternity Princess Line Coat. The single-breasted, wool/rayon blend coat features a princess silhouette, four oversized buttons and tabs at the cuffs.

Originally selling for £69/$100, Kate's coat can now only be found on eBay and Amazon in various sizes.

Kate wore this coat with black accessories to the set of Downton Abbey back in 2015 when pregnant with Charlotte.

Today she paired the cream coat with brown accessories: she carried her brown suede Emmy 'Natasha' clutch (available in other colours for £350) and what could be Russell & Bromley pumps in the 'Pinpoint' style (she owns them in red too), but they remain unconfirmed at this stage. Kate has owned these for a while now.

For jewellery, Kate wore her much-loved Annoushka pearl drop earrings (£320) with Kiki McDonough hoops ($750).

We will see The Duchess tomorrow when she opens Place2Be's new London headquarters.

We will then see her and the rest of the Royal Family on the 12th at the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey.
