Place2Be

The Duchess launched a new headquarters for children's mental health charity Place2Be, of which she is Patron, today in London.

Place2Be is the UK's leading children's mental health charity providing in-school support and expert training to improve the emotional wellbeing of pupils, families, teachers and school staff. They help children to cope with wide-ranging social issues.

Kate has been their Patron since 2013.

Kate took part in a discussion with mental health professionals, who have completed one of Place2Be’s accredited child counselling qualifications, and school leaders who have participated in the charity’s Mental Health Champions programme.

She also met with staff and pupils from one of the charity’s longstanding partner schools, Albion Primary School in Rotherhithe, where Place2Be has been providing mental health support for pupils, families and staff for 16 years.

Kate also joined a roundtable meeting with members of Place2Be’s research and evaluation team, and the independent Research Advisory Group, to discuss how the charity uses evidence and research to inform and continuously improve practice.

The Duchess got chance to join pupils from nearby Albion Primary School who were taking part in an exercise on ‘friendship’ which is part of the latest training for school-based counselling.

The Duchess was back in a familiar dress for today's engagement with Place2Be.

Séraphine's 'Marlene' coat made a reappearance, which was last worn in Oslo, Norway in early February.

The £165 dress is described: "Seraphine’s Marlene Maternity Cocktail Dress is a true statement piece, perfect for special occasions. The soft woven skirt sweeps elegantly to the knee, creating a flattering A-line silhouette that’s perfect before, during and after pregnancy. The stunning lace bodice is lined in comfortable stretch jersey, while the elegant long sleeves are made in stylish peek-a-boo lace, with subtle bell detailing at the cuffs. Velvet ribbon detailing at the empire waist, cuffs and collar complete the look."

Kate paired her dress with her trusty black Mulberry 'Bayswater' clutch (sold out) and Stuart Weitzman 'Power' pumps (sold out). For jewellery, Kate wore her sapphire and diamond drop earrings, originally belonging to Diana.

Another lovely look for The Duchess today!

We will next see Kate at the Commonwealth Service on the 12th! 😊
