Longchamp Limited Edition for Chinese New Year 2021
By SENATUS Magazine | 6 January 2021

Longchamp is ushering in the upcoming Chinese New Year with a limited edition of its cult Le Pliage® Cuir, specially created to celebrate the Year of the Ox.

Silkscreen-printed in white onto the bag’s soft black métis leather is a cute interpretation of the ox: two big round eyes, two dainty little horns and a soft-pink snout. This charming creature is munching on a daisy stem, with the flower reaching all the way up to Le Pliage® Cuir’s signature flap, where a red snap fastener marks its centre.

True to Longchamp’s attention to detail, the back of the flap features a black-on-white daisy print, while the removable leather shoulder strap has the daisy pattern on one side and the brilliant red associated with Chinese New Year on the other.

This design is available in two sizes, the tote and the travel bag, while the tote also comes in a pastel-pink version with the ox silkscreen-printed in black. Here, the snap fastener marking the centre of the daisy is white, while the back of the flap is printed with the LGP monogram, and the shoulder strap combines white leather on one side and the LGP print on the other.

Last but not least, two collectible accessories complete the limited edition: a key holder and bag charm featuring the cute ox motif, and a bag charm in the shape of a miniature baby’s milk bottle.
