World No. 1 Iga Swiatek Achieves the "Sunshine Double"
By SENATUS Editor | 3 April 2022

Iga Swiatek today defeated Naomi Osaka 6-4, 6-0 to win the Miami Open, adding to her Indian Wells title to complete what tennis fans call the "Sunshine Double", typically describing the marquee tennis tournaments taking place in the United States just as Spring arrives.

The Rolex Testimonee becomes the youngest player to do so, and is the fourth after Steffi Graf, Kim Clijsters and Victoria Azarenka.
