By SENATUS Editor | 1 January 2023

Ralph Lauren will for the third year in a row, take on duties as the Official Outfitter of the Australian Open 2023, outfitting up to 4,000 staff, including all on- and off-court officials.

This year, the Company has designed a new series of commemorative towels that launched on 29 November, followed by the official AO23 Capsule Collection launching on 6 January 2023.

As part of the Company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, both the uniforms and towels are created with a range of materials that include functional performance features, including moisture-wicking properties and UV protection, all constructed for active play. The ball persons' uniforms are made from recycled polyester and nylon, whilst the umpire's uniforms feature recycled double knit and jersey.

This commemorative collection features iconic Ralph Lauren styles in a bold colour palette inspired by the tournament's fresh energy and playful spirit. The range includes polo shirts, jackets, headwear, and accessories, incorporating sustainable materials including recycled polyester, recycled nylon and CLARUS, a patented textile platform innovation from Natural Fiber Welding, Inc. (NFW), that transform virgin and recycled cotton to create enhanced cotton fibers with high-performance attributes, like quick-drying and moisture management.
