The Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team sets off for its pursuit of the America’s Cup this July with the Panerai Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition. Limited to just 20 pieces, this timepiece is set to debut with the America’s Cup finals in Barcelona.

The PAM01405 Experience Edition is the first 45mm Submersible to feature a tourbillon complication, combining this complication with the futuristic CarbotechTM material, inspired by Luna Rossa’s carbon fiber boat hulls. CarbotechTM, made through a meticulous process involving carbon fiber and PEEK polymer, offers exceptional durability and a unique, matt black finish.

Powered by the hand-wound P.2015/T mechanical caliber, the watch boasts a 4-day power reserve, 24-hour GMT function, and night and day indication. Its tourbillon, rotating every 30 seconds, enhances accuracy by counteracting gravitational effects. With a water resistance of up to 300 meters, it’s suitable for diving.

Design-wise, the watch features Luna Rossa-inspired elements, such as the GMT hands resembling the team’s sails. The bezel is made of titanium with a DLC coating, complemented by white lacquer indexes. Super-LumiNova® coating ensures readability in darkness, while two straps—a Luna Rossa bi-material strap and a monochrome black rubber strap—offer versatility in style.
