Audemars Piguet collaborated with musician and watch enthusiast John Mayer to create this limited edition Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar.
Limited to 200 pieces, this timepiece features a distinctive design in 18-carat white gold with a deep blue dial reminiscent of a crystal sky. Mayer worked closely with Audemars Piguet to craft a dial called “Crystal Sky,” using intricate patterns and textures.
The perpetual calendar display incorporates subtle modifications for improved legibility and design harmony, such as white printing for the date indicator and a light blue color for the week indicator. The moon phase indicator, set against an aventurine background, adds a touch of refinement to the dial.
This collaboration marks the end of the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar equipped with Calibre 5134, a self-winding movement known for its precision and reliability. The movement automatically adjusts for different months and leap years, requiring manual correction only once every century.
The watch’s sapphire case back reveals the intricate decorations of the movement, including Côtes de Genève, circular graining, and a rhodium-toned 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight.
