Chopard marks 25 years of the Quattro with a platinum masterpiece
A quarter-century after the debut of the very first L.U.C Quattro, Chopard Manufacture celebrates its visionary movement with a new anniversary edition that epitomises refinement. Presented in platinum with a 39 mm case, the L.U.C Quattro – Mark IV redefines the Maison’s horological codes, distilling precision, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance into a contemporary silhouette.
At its heart lies the ingenious Quattro technology: four series-coupled barrels, stacked in pairs, housing nearly two metres of springs. This pioneering configuration delivers an astonishing nine-day power reserve, a feat of endurance matched by unwavering accuracy. Certified by the COSC and crowned with the prestigious Poinçon de Genève, the calibre beats at a steady 28,800 vibrations per hour, ensuring precision as enduring as its architecture.
The platinum case reveals a bassine profile inspired by 19th-century pocket watches, with a narrow base rising to a domed, polished bezel. Satin-brushed sides, a curved fluted crown, and a softly domed sapphire crystal create a harmonious composition, while the hand-welded lugs underscore the meticulous craft behind every detail.
On the dial, elegance takes a modern turn. Frosted brass shimmers in a luminous sky-blue hue, accented by white-gold hour markers and dauphine hands for perfect clarity. The small seconds and discreet date display add balance, while the power-reserve indicator — now moved to the caseback — preserves the dial’s clean aesthetic, letting the movement’s complexity be admired through sapphire glass.
An interchangeable strap system completes the design, offering versatility without compromising elegance. Produced in a 25-piece limited series, the L.U.C Quattro – Mark IV is not only an anniversary piece, but a radiant testament to Chopard’s mastery — where innovation, heritage, and poetic restraint converge.
