Tissot redefines timeless elegance with the relaunch of the Ballade
By SENATUS Magazine | 28 November 2025

Tissot has shaped time through creations that have defined generations since its inception in 1853. The Swiss watchmaker is now revisiting a hidden gem from its archives with the revival of the Ballade. First launched in 1994 as a statement of modernity in a world bound by convention, this silhouette returns three decades later with a renewed vision that draws from the past to shape the present. The Ballade enters this new chapter in 2025 equipped with an automatic movement and certified precision.

The timepiece illustrates that some things only get better with time. Its design has evolved over the years to carry the marks of experience while serving as a true testament to the savoir-faire of Tissot. A fluted bezel frames the dial as a tribute to tradition while a guilloché sunburst finish adds depth and texture. The composition is completed by classic Roman numerals for a timeless touch and a five-link interchangeable bracelet that adds sophistication to the design.

The latest additions to the collection arrive in 39 mm and 30 mm sizes to express the same spirit in different proportions. The 39 mm edition embodies the balance between heritage and modernity with dial options in silver, deep blue, or green sunburst. A fourth variant brings the visual codes of luxury watchmaking to the collection by combining a bi-colour PVD yellow gold case with a silver sunburst dial. The 30 mm model offers a smaller frame in silver or light blue sunburst alongside a bi-colour PVD rose gold version.

Beneath the polished exterior lies a heart of certified precision. The Ballade COSC meets the highest standards of Swiss chronometry and places it among the most precise mechanical watches in the world. The movement is evaluated over 15 consecutive days according to seven strict criteria defined by ISO 3159. The 39 mm references house the Powermatic 80 with an 80-hour power reserve while the 30 mm references feature the Powermatic 48 to allow time to flow uninterrupted long after the watch leaves the wrist.

An open-worked case back reveals the oscillating mass engraved with the words Certified Chronometer where artistry and technical mastery converge. Tissot continues the lineage of the Ballade by carving its place among a new generation where tradition meets innovation. This launch allows the brand to accompany individuals in every moment by celebrating not only the achievements but the journey itself.
