Bell & Ross defines the new era of architectural elegance with the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor
By SENATUS Editor | 7 April 2026

The frontier of watchmaking has shifted from mere complication to the visceral beauty of structure. In a bold move for 2026, Bell & Ross unveils the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor, a timepiece that functions less like a simple instrument and more like a construction manifesto. This limited edition of just 99 pieces transforms the iconic square silhouette into a masterclass of transparency.

Drawing inspiration from the geometric rigor of Piet Mondrian and the modernist vision of Charlotte Perriand, Creative Director Bruno Belamich has crafted a watch that is a genuine objet d’art. The 40 mm steel case does not merely house the movement; it is the movement. In a radical feat of engineering, the case middle serves as the supporting structure for the bridges, fusing the calibre and container into a single, seamless block of steel and sapphire.

At its heart beats the proprietary BR-CAL.390, an automatic manufacture movement designed for those who appreciate mechanical clarity. By integrating the micro-rotor within the thickness of the calibre itself, Bell & Ross achieves a remarkably slim profile of just 9 mm while fully exposing the intricate dance of its mechanics. The semi-skeletonized dial presents a metallic grid of vertical and horizontal bridges, where time is whispered by photoluminescent hands.

This monochrome masterpiece, finished with a grey calfskin strap that mimics the texture of alligator, eschews the frantic pace of a seconds hand. Instead, the wearer is invited to observe the steady oscillation of the balance wheel, a living reminder of the craftsmanship within. It is a watch designed for the discerning collector who understands that true sophistication lies in the perfect intersection of line, grid, and light.
