For the SPLASH CALENDAR 2012, Indian Photographer and graphic Designer Tejal Patni, did a remarkable job that truly characterized his forte'-- dramatic, aesthetically stylized and avant garde.

Stunningly cut above the rest, his latest work seems to merge between the future and the past. From Kirsten Hermans stylish concept of mix- material warbrobes to Andrew del Rosario's prop designs, the over all play and volume brought us to the brilliant and mercurial audacity of Patni's fantastical world through his lens. The eye-popping detailed graphics underscore his elaborate yet totally contolled photography. The cosmic art of plastics, fabrics and luminous papers blended well with crude steels and other industrial recycled materials. Avant Garde goes Retro!

The wizardry of Patni's work is on his light and shadow techniques, giving us a haunting feeling of deja' vu. The photographs are artforms, "breathing" pictures of fashion and style.
