In the Mood for Cheongsam - National Museum of Singapore
By Tricia Oliveira | 29 March 2012

An exhibit dedicated to the cheongsam, the body-hugging Chinese dress, at the National Museum of Singapore on March 29, 2012. The exhibit, which runs until June 27, 2012, tells the story of the changing social roles of Singapore women from the turn of the 20th century to modern times by looking at the history and development of the traditional cheongsam, their users and the economic, political and social conditions that dictate their fashion decisions through the decades.
