Alexander Wang Largest Flagship Boutique in Beijing
By Club 21 | 5 June 2012

Alexander Wang opens his second and largest flagship store in Sanlitun Village located within the Chaoyang District, Beijing.

Designed in collaboration with architecture and designer Joseph Dirand, the 5000 square feet (465 metres) boutique houses sculptural elements that plays on the dimension, reflections and the depth of the space with a strong focus on the use of raw materials such as marble and bronze.

These includes the monolithic marble wall which was cut from a single stone bearing a resemblance to a Rorschach ink blot test and the mirrored bronze sculptural prism bisecting the upper floor.

Except for a 1950s vintage de Sede black leather sofa on the ground level, all other furnishings like the blackened bronze bars, the infinity tables of marble plates framed in blackened bronze to the concrete sofa with goat hair and the leather ottoman are specially made for the boutique.
