English luxury brand Mulberry has launched an online and print guide to Brilliant Britain, a celebration of the country's undiscovered places, people, charm and talents. The project is inspired by the government's Great campaign, which promotes the United Kingdom internationally. It is Mulberry’s way of celebrating the charming peculiarities and time-honoured traditions of Britain.
Mulberry has commissioned editor Henrietta Thompson to pull together a selection of the wonderful landscapes, architecture, craft, food, people, traditions and innovations to create a tailored and ‘live’ guide at www.brilliantbritainguide.com. Nominations also came from British luminaries such as Tim Walker, Alexandra Shulman, Alain de Bottom and Tom Parker Bowles.
The printed booklet will be launched in Mulberry stores throughout the UK and Europe in October with Asia and the United States to follow. It will also be available in the stores of many of the booklet’s featured brands.
Visitors to the website can send in their own nominations in order to collate a geographical map of Brilliant Britain with the best nominations from the public curated into a ‘Your Brilliant Britain’ gallery on the website. All featured nominations are automatically entered into an exclusive competition to win a ‘handbag of British curiosities’ curated by Mulberry.
