English luxury brand Mulberry has opened the first Asian flagship store at Singapore’s prime shopping district area at the Mandarin Gallery, Orchard Road.
Designed by the innovative British architects at Universal Design Studio, the two storey 3983 square foot store reflects Mulberry’s dedication to craftsmanship and carries a sense of natural tactility, with the stone floors, curved timber follies and brass accents. Open, informal spaces are juxtaposed with smaller, intimate environments and the store has its own bespoke characteristics, such as a silver quartz stone cash desk in the service area, and a feature wall inspired by the brass folly in Mulberry’s London flagship.
The Singapore flagship store will stock the full collection of women's wear and shoes as well as the classic and seasonal accessories. A special limited edition Del Rey bag created in celebration of the store opening and the 40th birthday of Club21 would also be available for sale.
Made with supple goat leather in a shade of hot bubblegum pink, the bag is embellished with soft gold metal elements. The words "Mulberry hearts Club 21” are printed on the inside.
A limited number of the bag will also be available in a week's time at Mulberry stores in Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Sydney and Tokyo.
