SINGAPORE Audi Fashion Festival returns for its second installment at the Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, with an even bigger and more exciting line-up.
Kicking off the five-day festival on April 28 is what promises to be a high-octane opening show by DSquared², a label known for its intelligent mix of irreverent Canadian wit and refined Italian tailoring, which has given life to a unique concept of alternative luxury. Guests will be treated to a presentation of DSquared²’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection in the presence of the brand’s founders and creative geniuses, Dean and Dan Caten.
Upping the glamour ante even further is supermodel Carmen Kass, who will open the DSquared² show. The Estonian beauty, discovered by Vogue’s Anna Wintour in 1999, has become internationally known, thanks to her appearance in campaigns for Gucci, Calvin Klein, Versace, Fendi and, of course, DSquared².
Closing the show with a shot of drama and colour is Roberto Cavalli’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, presented by Mr Cavalli himself. Walking the runway for what promises to be a showstopping finale is Korean supermodel and TV personality Song Kyunga. She has graced the cover of Vogue Korea, fronted major global campaigns, including M.A.C, Diesel and Guess and been invited to judge the popular Korean reality show I Am A Model.
Ms Song will also be the star model of the Marchesa show, presented by Samsung, wearing the dazzling red-carpet gowns the label is renowned for. Other highlights of the five-day festival include shows by cutting edge indie darling KTZ; a dazzling presentation by Official Jeweller Tiffany & Co with fashion by Herve Leger; stunning showcase by Swarovski Atelier with Nicholas Kirkwood, Jason Wu and Matthew Williamson, international homegrown labels RAOUL and alldressedup, celebrated high street brands MANGO and Warehouse, and an inspiring hair show by Redken.
