Beyoncé Kicks Off "The Mrs Carter World Tour" in Belgrade

22 April 2013

By Tricia Oliveira

On 15 April, pop diva Beyoncé kicked off her "The Mrs Carter World Tour" in Belgrade which will include 19 European cities ending in Stockholm on 29 May and more than 20 in North America, starting with Los Angeles on 28 June and ending in New York on 3 August.

The Mrs Carter Show World Tour, which is named after the singer's husband Jay-Z's legal name 'Shawn Carter', will stop in Paris for two performances on 24 to 25 April and in London for a four-date "mini-residency" at the O2 Arena from 29 April 29 to 3 May.

A second leg of the tour is expected to be announced for Latin America and Asia.

This series of concerts is part of the 31-year-old's comeback since giving birth to her first child with rapper and husband Jay-Z in January last year.

The new mother took the stage by storm as she commanded the audience with her powerful energy and voice. Beyoncé's wardrobe matched her "Girls Run The World" persona as the songstress showed off her fiercely toned legs.

Beyoncé performed in custom outfits created by Emilio Pucci's creative director Peter Dundas, DSquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten, Ralph & Russo and Stuart Weitzman designed the star's shoes.

The singer opted for elaborate leotard inspired garments that were paired with glamorous heels. However, jaws dropped when Beyoncé stepped on stage wearing the most risqué ensemble of the night.

An embellished gold bodysuit that outlined the singer's breasts became a talking point amongst fans. The starlet's nipples seemed to be the focal point of the conversations.

Beyoncé's more modest outfits included a black and purple cat suit that was slashed to the navel and a red flowing dress that showed off the singer's legs through thigh-high slits.

With the concert series in Europe and North America set to bank in $116 million for Beyoncé, she and her husband Jay-Z will become the music industry's first billionaire couple. Read more: //senatus.net/album/view/10021/
