SINGAPORE 5 March 2010 – Marina Bay Sands announced today that Pangaea, a world renowned and exclusive high-end entertainment venue, will make its Asian debut in one of the world’s most spectacular locations, one of the resort’s glass and steel Crystal Pavilions “floating” on the water at Marina Bay.

Pangaea means “all lands” in Greek and is synonymous with sophisticated world-class nightclubs that attract A-list celebrities. Pangaea will occupy the first level of the southern Crystal Pavilion at Marina Bay Sands and will be accessible through a tunnel under the water. The ultra-lounge will be able to host up to 500 party-goers a night. The space is leased by Korean entertainment corporation, Kraze Inc.

Mr. David Sylvester, Vice President Retail Asia, Las Vegas Sands Corp. said once Kraze Inc. had secured this unique structure their hunt for prominent entertainment operators became a priority.

Kraze’s vision to bring the most renowned operators is in line with our goal. Pangaea has been a legendary brand in leading cities including New York, Miami and London. It will offer Singapore high-energy nightlife. This is a first-class addition to Marina Bay Sands and we are very proud to have such a celebrated venue,” said Mr. Sylvester.

Pangaea’s founder and operator Michael Ault says his latest club at Marina Bay Sands will be his most exclusive, most expensive and most ambitious project yet. He said the combination of Singapore’s strategic location and the unique architecture of Marina Bay Sands, especially the Crystal Pavilion, made it an easy decision to open his first entertainment venue in Asia.

“Our intention is to build the greatest entertainment spot on the planet and Singapore is currently the most exciting city in the world. Marina Bay Sands is clearly the most spectacular project underway. It is architecturally the most impressive, multi-use destination that I have ever seen and for us, it is the perfect place to take our most ambitious journey yet. We simply can’t wait to develop Singapore into a party destination,” said Mr. Ault.

Michael Ault is widely credited for inventing the Ultra-Lounge and Bottle Service – a feature where patrons can purchase an entire bottle of liquor for their personal consumption. His venues have hosted a string of celebrities like Madonna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Moss and Will Smith.

Pangaea and the Crystal Pavilion will open in the second half of the year. Marina Bay Sands will be announcing its second exclusive entertainment venue on the upper levels of the crystal pavilion soon.
