DARE TO DREAM WITH PEUGEOT
As the leading French car brand in Singapore, Peugeot has proved to both critics and fans that being the best takes more than just hard work. Above all, it’s the spirit of the Lion that impresses: the can-do attitude, the innovation that goes into each Peugeot model, and the ever-present desire for automotive excellence that drives the brand to constantly to take on new challenges.

Peugeot’s newly-renovated showroom is both an expression and celebration of these values, serving as testament that great things can be accomplished, as long as one dares to dream.

As such, Peugeot is proud to present unique individuals who share similar values with the brand. They, like Peugeot, believe that innovation, daring, and ambition are key in turning dreams into reality.

Kien Lee: The Trendsetter | Founder of SENATUS.NET

Educated in Yale University, Kien Lee spent many years in the banking industry in New York before returning to Singapore to set up SENATUS.NET, an exclusive network of tastemakers, trendsetters and thought-leaders. Less than a year after its launch, his portal won ‘Best Online Magazine in Asia-Pacific and Middle East’ at the Asian Digital Media Awards.

Building upon this initial success, SENATUS.NET now has half a million unique visitors a month, with a similar number of fans on the site’s Facebook page as well.

You look stylish with the RCZ. How would you say the car defines you?
Like the RCZ, SENATUS started out as a concept at first. The RCZ did not just appear on the market in 2010; Peugeot took some time in developing and perfecting it, which is what we did with SENATUS.

When we finally did launch in March 2010, we like the RCZ, won industry accolades and awards. And like the RCZ, we’re looking to appeal to a very specific demographic – those who appreciate style, sophistication and substance.

Do you have any tips for budding entrepreneurs or people working on their blueprint?
To successfully execute a blueprint, you need to have a strong vision of where you want to go, and be adept enough to evolve with changing tastes and market scenarios. There is no such thing as an overnight success; it often only appears that way.

Take LeBron James as an example – he was a prodigy who was drafted right out of high school, who spent years cultivating an all-round skillset and finding the perfect team before finally winning his first NBA Championship.

Tell us about some of the challenges you faced as you were building your business from scratch and working towards your dream?
The challenge I faced is the same one everyone doing something new has encountered – pacing yourself to enter the market at the most opportune time, so that you’re not too early for the market nor too late to the party.

You have to be cognisant of the fact that you’re building for the future and know when the timing is right for you to roll out.

What are some of the steps that you would recommend to make such dreams or plans materialise?
It’s very important to have a vision before you start any venture. The vision has to entail a specific idea of where you see your product being needed, how your product fills a space that isn’t being filled at the moment, and if necessary, how to do things differently to achieve this.
