As the world’s most prestigious golfing event, The Masters Tournament is a celebration of tradition, skill, and precision. Held annually at the historic Augusta National Golf Club, it remains the only major championship with an invitation-only field, offering an exclusive experience that challenges the finest players in the sport.
Since 1999, Rolex, a brand synonymous with precision and excellence, has proudly stood as the Tournament Partner, supporting this emblem of golfing history and excellence.
The 89th edition of The Masters, taking place from 10 to 13 April, brings with it a special significance for the Rolex Testimonees participating. This year marks three pivotal anniversaries that connect the brand with the tournament’s rich legacy: it’s been 10 years since Jordan Spieth donned his first Green Jacket (2015), 20 years since Tiger Woods claimed his fourth Masters victory (2005), and 40 years since Bernhard Langer won his first title (1985). Langer, a two-time Masters champion and former World No. 1, will commemorate his remarkable career with his 40th appearance at Augusta, further cementing his place in golfing history.
For Spieth, the Masters holds a special place in his heart, recalling the dream of winning his first major championship on the hallowed grounds of Augusta. "The Masters has always been my favorite. Growing up watching Tiger’s wins there, it was always the pinnacle of golf," Spieth reflects. "The history of the golf course, the tradition, and the way the event is managed – it’s unique."
Rolex Testimonee Scottie Scheffler returns to Augusta to defend his title after an incredible 2024 season, which saw him become the first player since Woods in 2007 to win seven times on the PGA TOUR®. If Scheffler triumphs again, he will join Jack Nicklaus as the only players to have won The Masters three times in four years—a testament to his mastery and precision, qualities that align perfectly with the Rolex legacy.
Reflecting on his victory, Scheffler says, "The Masters is always something special. The history of the tournament, Augusta National Golf Club, and the consistency of the course year after year... it's the event we all dream of playing in and winning."
As the spotlight shines on these extraordinary Testimonees, other Rolex ambassadors are ready to make their mark on the Masters. Ludvig Åberg, the rising Swedish star, will seek to build on his second-place finish from the previous year, while Viktor Hovland makes his sixth appearance, hoping to claim his first major win after a standout amateur career. Hovland made history as Norway’s first Masters participant in 2019 and is eager to add another chapter to his legacy.
In addition to these exceptional talents, Rolex Testimonees such as Keegan Bradley, Jason Day, Bryson DeChambeau, Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa, and Justin Thomas will also be in the hunt for victory. Past champions Fred Couples, Hideki Matsuyama, Phil Mickelson, José María Olazábal, Jon Rahm, and Adam Scott will also grace the course, all competing in the pursuit of the coveted Green Jacket.
For Rolex, The Masters is more than just a tournament—it’s an embodiment of the values that define the brand: precision, tradition, and the pursuit of excellence. Each year, the brand’s Testimonees stand as living symbols of these ideals, making their mark on one of the most revered events in the sporting world. This year, as ever, Rolex remains firmly at the heart of the action, supporting golf’s finest as they strive to achieve greatness at Augusta.
