To welcome the Christmas holidays, the flagship store of Louis Vuitton, located in the Fifth Avenue, New York, has a completely new appearance adorning the iconic and now globally recognisable design of Takashi Murakami's monogram.
From afar, the Louis Vuitton store looks like a giant gift nicely wrapped up on Fifth Avenue. When the night falls, lights from within the store turn on to create the visual effect of a bright candy-coloured gift box.
The Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and Louis Vuitton have collaborated to great success over the last few years. The most recent being the Takashi Murakami contemporary art exhibition in Los Angeles MOCA (contemporary art) exhibition gallery which has included at an historical and artistic creation of Takashi Murakami, and a range of commodities worked with Louis Vuitton etc.
