The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) celebrates its 45th Anniversary this year and is set to commemorate the special occasion at the annual Singapore Airshow which will be held from 11 to 16 February, with the first three days exclusive to trade visitors only.
Dubbed RSAF45@SA, the showcase will include the return of the RSAF Black Knights, the military aerobatics team last soared the skies at Singapore Airshow 2008.
Aside from a fresh team of 6 elite pilots from the Singapore's Air Force, each of the F-16C Fighting Falcon jets will also don a new design with a crescent moon and five stars against its red and white body.
RSAF Black Knight pilots are not full-time performers and continue to hold operational appointments.
Expect to marvel at the tight-formation flying and precise aerial manoeuvres by the Black Knights as they are joined by Republic of Korea Air Force's Black Eagles and the Indonesian Air Force's (TNI-AU) Jupiter Aerobatic Team, as well at the U.S. Marine Corps' MV-22B Osprey, United States Air Force (USAF) C-17 Globemaster III and F-16 Fighting Falcon which will make solo aerobatics displays.
The scheduled Aerobatic Flying Displays will take place on 15 and 16 February, from 10:25 to 11:25am and from 3:00 to 3:30pm.
RSAF Pavilion and Exhibits
The Pavilion will showcase the RSAF’s history and achievements over the past 45 years and its transformation into a 3rd Generation Air Force. There will be fun and interactive activities such as simulators and aviation-themed*games.
