The London designer to watch, all eyes were on Jonathan Anderson for his fall/winter 2014 collection. Aiming to refocus attention on the idea of aristocracy, viewing his collection as a series of portraits to be showcased, Anderson pushed his androgynous point of view. Approaching more accessible fashions this time around, for every awkward framed-shape top, there were a clean pair of trousers, tailored for the adventurous man of style.
While a bangle on the wrist may not be the idea of the majority to finish off a menswear look, Anderson demonstrated a hold on the classics with essentials such as a camel coat, pushed forward with a concealed closing and an oversize fit similar to a house coat. Rounded out by knitwear with short ballooned sleeves, boxy jackets fastened with a lone top button and monochromatic numbers with a nod to the peplum, the heel wearing man of J.W. Anderson proved to be fearless.
