Tiffany & Co. Opens Newest Store at Champs Elysees in Paris
By SENATUS News | 17 June 2014

In a milestone move for the American jeweller, Tiffany & Co. opened its newest store at 62, Avenue de Champs Élysées, the iconic French boulevard in Paris where the most important national parade and celebrations are held. It has been more than 146 years since Tiffany first opened a store in Paris back in 1868 and the multi-storey boutique is its fourth location in Paris and fifth in France.

Hosted by Frederic Cumenal, President of Tiffany & Co. and Marc Jacheet, Managing Director for Tiffany & Co. in France & Benelux, the opening festivities saw the attendance of celebrities including Hollywood actresses Jessica Biel and Hilary Swank, as well as Emmanuelle Seigner, Melanie Doutey, Marina Hands, Caterina Murino and Elsa Zylberstein.

The retail location features magnificent new interiors and jewellery collections displayed across three floors. The occasion also saw the exhibit, for a limited period only, of the legendary Tiffany Diamond -- the 128.54-carat fancy yellow diamond is mounted in a necklace of white diamonds totaling more than 100 carats -- the heart of Tiffany’s diamond legacy and the inspiration behind every Tiffany diamond.

From the roof terrace of the Arc de Triomphe, with spectacular views across the city, guests enjoyed a dramatic moment when sky tracers lit the new store on the Champs Élysées, concurrent with the lighting of the obelisk on Place de la Concorde as it was bathed in Tiffany Blue to mark the occasion.
