1. Queen Mary Fringe Tiara. It was made in 1919 for Queen Mary out of diamonds from a Queen Victoria tiara bought in 1893. The Queen Mum later lent it to Princess Elizabeth on her wedding day (although it snapped).

2. The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. Queen Mary received this as a wedding gift in 1893 from a committee of women representing Britain and Ireland. Mary then gave it to Elizabeth as a wedding gift.

3. Queen Alexandra's Kokoshnik Tiara. Originally belonging to a Russian Empress, it was given to Queen Alexandra in 1888. She had wanted a tiara in the style of a coconut, and a traditional Russian head-dress.

4. The Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara. Once belonging to the Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia, it was left behind as the family fled during the 1917 revolution. It was then smuggled out of Russia by a secret agent to be given back to the Grand Duchess and later bought by Queen Mary.

5. Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara. Mary had this made in 1913 from her own pearls, inspired by her grandmother owned tiara.

6. Aquamarine Tiara. The Queen has only been seen wearing this in 1970. The Countess of Wessex has worn it more often.

7. Oriental Circlet Tiara. Designed by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria in 1853, the circle was originally set with opals, but Queen Alexandra had them replaced with rubies.

8. Brazilian Aquamarine Parure Tiara. This was made in 1957 to match the Queen's aquamarine parure given to her by the Brazilian president in 1947.

9. Nizam of Hyderabad Tiara. One of the items Elizabeth picked from Cartier as a wedding gift from the Nizam of Hyderabad. In 1973 it was made into the Burmese Ruby Tiara.

10. Burmese Ruby Tiara. It was made using diamonds from the above tiara and 96 rubies gifted to her in a necklace from the people of Burma.

11. The Sapphire Tiara. This was originally a necklace belonging to Princess Louise of Belgium that the Queen later bought to match a suite of sapphire jewels from her father.

12. Diamond Diadem (more and crown but had to include it). It was made for King George IV's 1821 coronation but was exclusively worn by queens.
