TWEED DE CHANEL - Chanel high jewellery showcase in London
By SENATUS Editor | 22 June 2023

TWEED DE CHANEL High Jewelry collection presented in London last week.

Gabrielle Chanel discovered the gently rolling hills and valleys of Scotland in the 1920s. Ever since she borrowed the tweed jackets from the Duke of Westminster’s Scottish wardrobe, tweed has become an icon of the brand.

Tweed entered the world of CHANEL High Jewelry in 2020: a first chapter totally dedicated to this iconic fabric of the House, reproducing its suppleness and subtleties through the skilful use of articulations through exceptional craftsmanship.

In 2023, the CHANEL Fine Jewelry Creation Studio introduces a new chapter dedicated to the magic of tweed for a second time, with the audacious creation of 63 new High Jewelry pieces.

This collection unveils five new precious tweeds made of gold and stones, in five different colors and adorned with five icons dear to Gabrielle Chanel: the white ribbon, the pink camellia, the comet on a blue background, the yellow sun and the lion highlighted with flashes of red.
