Chopard captures a historic hue with the L.U.C XPS Prussian Blue - Watches & Wonders 2026 #WatchesandWonders2026

The storied past of the Canton of Neuchâtel finds a sophisticated new expression in the Chopard L.U.C XPS Prussian Blue, a timepiece released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Manufacture in Fleurier. This ultra-thin model combines an understated aesthetic with a deeply saturated hue that pays tribute to the unique territory where Chopard established its workshops three decades ago. Between 1707 and 1857, this region was under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Prussia while simultaneously becoming a Swiss canton, a status unique in Europe that allowed the emblematic Prussian Blue pigment to spread throughout the area.

Crafted in Lucent Steel™, the case features ideal proportions with a diameter of 40 mm and an exceptional thinness of just 7.2 mm. The "Prussian Blue" dial is adorned with a sunburst satin finish that shifts beautifully between deep shadows and bright highlights. Its sector-style construction is strongly influenced by Art Deco and Bauhaus movements, utilizing two concentric rings and radial indexes to create a rigorous, highly legible geometry inspired by 1930s design.

The extreme slenderness of the timepiece is made possible by the L.U.C 96.12L calibre, a mechanical self-winding movement that measures only 3.30 mm thick. It features an engraved 22-carat ethical gold micro-rotor that efficiently winds two superimposed barrels. This system, known as Chopard Twin technology, delivers a generous 65-hour power reserve while maintaining the movement's lean profile. The calibre is chronometer-certified by the COSC, and the small seconds at 6 o'clock serves as a functional testament to its stringent precision.

“This new L.U.C XPS, Prussian Blue model is designed for fine watch enthusiasts seeking authenticity, understated aesthetics and high-precision mechanics,”<e/m> explains Co-President of Chopard Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. Every component reflects the Maison’s dedication to vertical integration and the preservation of traditional Swiss watchmaking skills. Paired with a hand-stitched brown calfskin strap featuring ecru stitching, the watch remains a refined symbol of Chopard’s connection to its place of origin.
