'Bal De La Rose Du Rocher' Charity Gala in Monaco
By SENATUS Editor | 30 March 2013

The 'Bal De La Rose Du Rocher' charity gala, held in benefit of the Fondation Princess Grace at the Sporting Monte-Carlo on 23 March in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, saw Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld playing a huge part in the celebration.

Karl Lagerfeld designed costumes for the night's performance, on behalf of the House of CHANEL, and illustrated the invitation and the menu.

Singer Rita Ora wore a specially designed piece conceived by Lagerfeld for this event. At the beginning of the performance the dress resembled a "Grandes Cocottes" -style gown reminiscent of the Belle Epoque, which later transformed into a pop outfit by the end of the act.

Model Cara Delevingne wore a long flared embroidered dress in pale gray organza and ivory silk tulle from the Spring/Summer 2013 Haute Couture Collection.

Dancers from the Princess Grace Academy of Dance also wore costumes created by Karl Lagerfeld for the occasion.
