Corum has launched the Heritage Corum Lab 01, a new limited edition series that embrace a racing, sculptural, technical and modern spirit.
Comprised of two models, the timepiece features a barrel-shaped case made entirely of black DLC. Inside, the calibre driving the watches is a "shape movement." In other words, the movement had been made to measure for the case, in contrast to the normal industry approach which sees round movements placed in a differently-shaped case.
In these unique timepieces, calibre and case are closely intertwined, one moulding to the contours of the other. An openworked dial reveals the CO 410 skeleton calibre sitting snugly inside. To match the DLC exterior, the dial comes in grey anthracite, in red or white.
Enthusiasts will also note the micro-rotor, visible from the dial side, featuring a contemporary spiral finish to accentuate the “speed” effect when it begins to rotate.
