2014 marks the 30th anniversary of Simpson Marine in the international yacht dealership and brokerage business in Asia with offices spanning China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, and the new partnership adds to the position of strength it currently holds with the on-going exclusive representative of Azimut Yachts in Asia, having done so for the past 27 years.

With Monte Carlo Yachts, Simpson Marine introduces a line of top-class, award-winning luxury yachts and motorboats to enthusiasts in the region, showcasing luxury yachts MCY 76, MCY 65, and motorboat MC 5, collectively making their official debuts in Southeast Asia.

The MCY 76 is a 76-foot (23m) flybridge yacht with stylistic features, with additional safety assurance thanks to an innovative self-supporting keel structure made extensively of Kevlar, creating a solid but light shell. Its auto-trim system also helps to reduce fuel consumption while a POD propulsion system equipped with multidirectional joystick allows the boat to manoeuvre through tight spaces, especially in crowded berths.
Its list of accolades is impressive, including ‘Best Production Motor Yacht (51 to 80 ft)’ at the 2011 Asia Boating Awards in Hong Kong, ‘Yachts over 50 ft’ at the 2011 European Powerboat of the Year Awards in Dusseldorf, and ‘Yachts over 50 ft’ at the 2011 Motor Boat of the Year Awards in London and tropes at Milan’s Nautical Design Awards, Genoa’s Boat of the Year Award and finally, for its design and innovation at the World Yachts Trophies in Cannes.
The MCY 65 is the smallest in the range but maintains the Franco-Italian sensitivities and style of its larger siblings, having also won the titles for ‘Best Motor Yacht’ in the 40 to 75 feet category at the 2014 Asian Marine & Boating Awards in Shanghai, and ‘Flybright over 55 ft’ at the 2013 Motor Boat of the Year Awards in London.
The MC5 a motor cruiser designed in the nautical traditions of Beneteau (Monte Carlo’s parent company), and thus benefits from the experience, the engineering and the industrial power of a nearly 130 years old worldwide established leading brand. It offers great living spaces flooded with natural light, high end equipments and technologies to enhance comfort.
Building upon a successful showing in 2013 at which it sold three boats, Simpson Marine continues on its upward trajectory at the 2014 edition of the Singapore Yacht Show, bringing in other highlights that include the much-anticipated Magellano 43 from Azimut Yachts, which will be seen for the first time in Asia, and the Lagoon 52, which will be showcased for the first time in Singapore.
