End: 14 May 2010 - 10:30 PM

Location: Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel

Firmly established at the zenith of the glittering Monaco social calendar, the über-glamorous Amber Fashion Show flamboyantly channels its star-studded publicity into a great charitable cause, raising almost 1.5 million euros for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Launched under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II in 2006, with the support of the Formula 1 drivers, team principals and major fashion labels, the show has established itself as a “hot ticket” with celebrities and the world’s media alike.

2009 showcased the Elizabeth Hurley Beach and Jimmy Choo collections whilst F1 drivers once again took to the catwalk modelling Petra Ecclestone’s FORM menswear alongside their wives and girlfriends in Jean Fares and Rubina Anjum evening wear. The event was attended by over 600 guests and 200 media including 29 international TV crews, with global footage distribution.

The Amber Lounge Fashion Show continues to support the Elton John AIDS Foundation and is intensifying next year’s show to provide even more entertainment value for guests and media with the aim of raising yet another record amount for the charity.

The show featuring Haute Couture Collections including swimwear and jewellery will again be attended by F1 Team Principals, VIPs and Celebrities in town for the Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival.

"The Fashion Show is a great way to start the evening; the Amber Lounge party a great way to end it" Boris Becker

In 2010, the ‘Sea Club’ at Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel will again host Amber Lounge Monaco – simply the ultimate party of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. Guests include F1 drivers, team principals and international celebrities from the world of TV, fashion, music and sport.  Now in its seventh successful year, Amber Lounge has established itself as one of the world’s most exclusive parties.

“I love that you can dance like mad then chill by the pool… all in one! Amber Lounge is the best way to recover from the races” Jenson Button, McLaren Mercedes GP

Over the past 15 years, the Elton John AIDS Foundation has raised over USD$140 million and supported over 4,000 projects in 55 countries worldwide, assisting over 12 million people affected by HIV and AIDS.

The staggering amount collected by this International non-profit organisation comes from numerous fundraising opportunities and charitable projects. It has been made possible by the unrelenting commitment and dedication of Sir Elton John, David Furnish and the Foundation's loyal supporters.

"The Amber Lounge Fashion Show is a great way to raise awareness for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The popularity of the event and the ambience surrounding the show are simply wonderful" Sir Elton John
