On 12 June, Burberry and Google have launched a digital postcard campaign entitled "Burberry Kisses," allowing a sender to transmit a digital copy of a lip imprint, sent virtually around the world of Google Maps.
Go to kisses.burberry.com where you'll be prompted to capture a kiss by pressing your lips to the screen of your touchscreen device or by capturing the shape of your lips with a webcam.
Once you've captured your kiss, you can fill out a postcard to send from location to that of your recipient, then watch it the kiss "fly" across the virtual ocean and descend upon its destination, set to the tune of Burberry Acoustic singer Misty Miller's "Evergreen Love."
Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey has described the campaign as giving technology "a bit of heart and soul", whilst marketing the British label's lipstick shades.
The initiative is part of Google's Art, Copy & Code project, an ongoing series of storytelling collaborations between Google and brands.
