Cartier explains the technical challenge of the new Tank Francaise

30 January 2023

The making of Cartier's latest timepiece is a challenge of creativity and watchmaking savoir-faire. The first of which is streamlining its monobloc construction, so the case and bracelet become one.

Another is through 13,000 hours of development, whereby the pure line of the Tank Française is achieved through a combination of over 100 components and a special new technique to ensure each link is invisibly integrated

The new Tank Française watch pushes its radical inspiration even further at Cartier’s Manufacture.
