Ferrari say they will use a difficult start to the season as impetus to fight back in the remaining nine races. The team have not won a race since Fernando Alonso took the flag in Bahrain and trail leaders McLaren by 113 points in the team standings.
"We are angry that we did not get the results we are capable of delivering," said team boss Stefano Domenicali.
"But this anger must be turned into a positive force. We have to knuckle down and continue to develop the car."
The Italian team failed to score any points in Sunday's British Grand Prix - the first time they have left a race empty-handed this season.
Alonso scuppered his chances of a decent result at Silverstone when he cut a corner passing Robert Kubica's Renault and was subsequently handed a drive-through penalty which saw him drop from fourth to finish in 14th.
His team-mate Felipe Massa finished one place behind him after a punctured tyre on the opening lap left him playing catch-up.
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo joined Domenicali at a debrief at the Italian team's Maranello headquarters on Monday. He urged the team to regroup and attack the second half of the season, which begins at the German Grand Prix on 25 July.
"There's no point in crying about it," said Montezemolo. "I want the team to tackle the second half of the season in a positive manner."
"We have gone through much worse moments than this and we have come through them, but clearly we can no longer afford to lose opportunities, which for various reasons, have escaped us in the last two races, even though we had a competitive car."
"Qualifying and the start have become the decisive moments, so we must improve in those areas if we want to win.
"I expect everyone will give 100% to bring home points quickly to make up for those we have lost to date."
Last season, Ferrari abandoned the development of their uncompetitive 2009 car in the summer to turn their attention to 2010's version. But Domencali has no intention of giving up on this campaign yet despite mixed results for Alonso, who is fifth in the drivers' championship, and Massa, who has not been on the podium in the last eight races.
"We must remain rational," stated Domenicali. "We must not let ourselves be discouraged nor frustrated."
"We will continue with the development of the car, working calmly, with great concentration and determination. Then the results with come."
Ferrari revealed on their website that Alonso was also determined to stay positive after a testing weekend at Silverstone.
Alonso had told the team he did not want any more instructions over the team radio after the half-way point of Sunday's race but afterwards he used the radio to give them encouragement.
"Keep your heads up," he said. "We will win the championship."
"We are only halfway through the season and there is plenty of time to recover."
"We have a great car and we proved that to everyone this weekend and confirmed it with this fastest race lap."
"It is only the first half and we know we have to do better in the second one and we will do exactly that. There's plenty of time to catch up."
